Join your network and follow the setup below.

VPN sharing instructions for every device

Start with your sharing device. For an Android host, also follow the guide for your receiving device. With a Windows host, join its hotspot without a manual proxy.

Share Connectix VPN from an Android phone
  1. Get both devices on one network

Turn on the Android phone’s hotspot in Android settings, or connect the phone and receiving device to the same trusted Wi-Fi. Connectix does not turn on the Android hotspot for you.

  2. Connect with V2Ray / Xray

On the Android phone, choose a V2Ray / Xray connection in Connectix and connect. VPN sharing is available for this connection type.

  3. Enable sharing in Connectix

Open Settings → Connection → Share via hotspot, then enable sharing. If the VPN is already connected, confirm the reconnect message and wait for the connection to return.

  4. Read the phone’s local address

Keep the sharing screen open and use the local IP displayed there. The HTTP port is 10102 and the SOCKS5 port is 10101. Follow the receiving-device guide below; no proxy username or password is required.

Use an Android phone as the host; Android TV is not a sharing host. The proxies have no authentication, so use a trusted network and a password-protected hotspot. The IP can change when the network changes.

Share Connectix VPN from Windows
  1. Choose V2Ray / Xray and Tunnel mode

In Connectix on Windows, use a V2Ray / Xray connection. In Settings, set the network adapter type to Tunnel (default). Reconnect if you changed the adapter mode.

  2. Connect the Windows computer

Connect in Connectix and wait until the VPN is connected. Hotspot sharing needs the running Tunnel connection.

  3. Turn on sharing in the app

Open Settings → Connection → Share via hotspot and enable it. Connectix starts the Windows hotspot. Wait until the sharing screen shows the Wi-Fi name and password.

  4. Join the displayed Wi-Fi

On the receiving device, join that Wi-Fi using the displayed password. No manual proxy is needed. You can copy the credentials or change the Wi-Fi name and password in Connectix; reconnect devices after a change.

Keep the Windows VPN connected while sharing. Hotspot availability depends on the computer’s Wi-Fi adapter and Windows support. Turn off a proxy left over from an earlier Android setup on the receiving device.

Connect another Android device to an Android host
  1. Join the phone’s network

Connect this Android device to the host phone’s hotspot, or to the same trusted Wi-Fi as the host.

  2. Open the connected Wi-Fi settings

In Android Settings → Wi-Fi, open the connected network’s details or edit it. Expand Advanced options if needed, then set Proxy to Manual. Menu names vary by manufacturer.

  3. Enter the HTTP proxy

Set Proxy hostname to the local IP shown in Connectix on the host phone, and Proxy port to 10102. Enter only the IP in the hostname field, without http:// or a port. Save the settings.

  4. Check the connection and finish safely

Open a website in a browser that uses the Wi-Fi proxy. When you finish sharing, return this network’s Proxy setting to None.

Android’s Wi-Fi proxy applies only to apps that support it. It does not route every app or game through the VPN. Use SOCKS5 port 10101 only in apps that explicitly support SOCKS5.

Connect an iPhone or iPad to an Android host
  1. Join the phone’s network

On the iPhone or iPad, join the host Android phone’s hotspot or the same trusted Wi-Fi as the host.

  2. Open Configure Proxy

Open Settings → Wi-Fi, tap the information button next to the connected network, then scroll to Configure Proxy under HTTP Proxy. Choose Manual.

  3. Set the server and port

Enter the host’s local IP from Connectix as Server and 10102 as Port. Leave Authentication off, then tap Save.

  4. Use a compatible app

Open a website in Safari to check the connection. After sharing, return to Configure Proxy and choose Off.

This is a proxy setting for the selected Wi-Fi network. Apps that ignore that setting, games and UDP traffic are not guaranteed to use the shared VPN.

Connect a Windows PC to an Android host
  1. Connect Windows to the phone

Join the Android host’s hotspot or the same trusted Wi-Fi as the host. Keep Connectix connected on the host phone.

  2. Open the manual proxy settings

Open Windows Settings → Network & internet → Proxy. Under Manual proxy setup, select Set up or Edit and turn on Use a proxy server.

  3. Enter the phone’s address

Set the proxy IP address to the local IP shown in Connectix on the Android phone. Enter 10102 as the port, then save. No proxy username or password is required.

  4. Check a browser, then turn it off after use

Open a website in a browser that uses Windows proxy settings. When finished, switch off Use a proxy server in the same settings.

Windows’ manual proxy is used by compatible applications; it is not a VPN connection for the entire PC. Apps with their own SOCKS5 settings can instead use the host IP and port 10101.

Connect a Mac to an Android host
  1. Join the phone’s Wi-Fi

Connect the Mac to the Android host’s hotspot or the same trusted Wi-Fi as the host.

  2. Open the network’s proxy settings

Open System Settings → Wi-Fi → Details next to the connected network → Proxies. On older macOS versions, open System Preferences → Network → Wi-Fi → Advanced → Proxies.

  3. Set both HTTP and HTTPS

Enable Web proxy (HTTP) and Secure web proxy (HTTPS). For both, enter the local IP shown in Connectix as the server and 10102 as the port. Leave proxy authentication off, then confirm and apply the settings.

  4. Check Safari and restore the settings

Open a website in Safari. After sharing, disable the two proxies in the same network settings and apply the change.

Both HTTP and HTTPS use port 10102. For apps that support SOCKS5, SOCKS proxy can use port 10101 instead. Proxy support varies by app; this setup does not cover every type of traffic.

Connect Linux to an Android host
  1. Connect to the host’s network

Join the Android phone’s hotspot or connect Linux to the same trusted Wi-Fi as the phone.

  2. Choose a manual network proxy

On GNOME / Ubuntu, open Settings → Network → Network Proxy and choose Manual. Other desktop environments provide similar proxy options under their network settings.

  3. Fill in HTTP and HTTPS

For both HTTP and HTTPS, use the local IP shown in Connectix on the phone and port 10102. Apply the settings if your desktop requests it. No proxy authentication is required.

  4. Check your browser’s proxy preference

Set the browser to use the system proxy, or enter the same HTTP and HTTPS values in its own proxy settings. After use, disable the proxy wherever you configured it.

Some Linux apps and command-line tools ignore the desktop proxy. Configure those apps separately if they support proxies. SOCKS5 is available at the same host IP on port 10101.

Connect a smart TV to an Android host
  1. Join the phone’s network

Connect the TV to the Android host’s hotspot or the same trusted Wi-Fi as the host phone.

  2. Look for a manual proxy option

Open the TV’s network settings and inspect the connected network’s advanced settings for Proxy → Manual. The location and availability depend on the TV model and operating system.

  3. Enter the HTTP address if supported

Use the local IP displayed in Connectix on the Android phone as the proxy server and 10102 as the port. Save and try a TV app that supports the network proxy.

  4. If there is no proxy setting

This Android sharing method may not work on your TV. If you have a supported Windows host, select Windows above and join its hotspot instead. Remove the manual proxy after use.

TV support varies. A proxy option does not guarantee that streaming apps, games or all network traffic will use it. Android TV is a possible receiving device, not a Connectix sharing host.
